Local populations of red clover from the region of Gorski Kotar, Žumberak - Samoborsko gorje, Hrvatsko Zagorje, Prigorje, Posavina and Podravina

Domestic and commercial varieties of red clover
Morphological and agronomic traits of the entries will be collected in field trial set up according to RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) in three repetitions.
The data of morphological traits will be collected according to IPGRI, UPOV and PVPO descriptors for red clover.
Molecular analyses
Plant material
Local populations and varieties (members of the trial) will be analysed in molecular analyses.
AFLP markers will be used in assessment of genetic variability within and among populations and varieties.
Morphological data and AFLP profiles will be the basis for:

classification of local populations and varieties with the multi-variate analysis

assessment of the variability of germplasm and clustering of populations
